Big Things Happening

Hi, remember me …Marielle? The person who writes these posts. Well, it turns out I have some big news to share with you about…. ME!

I have spent the past couple of months interviewing and visiting graduate schools and professors. It has been a super exciting process (slightly stressful) and everything came to a close yesterday. I have officially accepted an offer at The University of Colorado Boulder. I will be working on a huge passion of mine which is Astrodynamics, the study of motion in space. More specifically I will be working under Dr. Scheeres studying space debris. ooooooooo ahhhhhhhh… To add on to the great research assistantship I was offered, I was also chosen to be a Smead Fellow for which I will be attending the symposium in May (I’ll be sure to share with you more details about that and the conference later).

So that is the quick status update on me! As always, you can ask me anything to get to know me better, either through my inbox or through the comments. I answer just about EVERYTHING. And here you can browse some of the previously answered questions.

Here is to meeting new people, going to great conferences, and  most importantly sharing all the exciting details with you!

Congratulations, Marielle!!!! You will love Boulder! Remember, Jamie and Ryan both went to school there AND Ryan’s parents live there part time so feel free to call/email with questions! Jamie could be a Welcome Wagon representative for any community she has ever lived in, she loved Boulder.
